Howdy, Friends- Meeting for Worship: Please join us this Sunday, June 28, in one of three ways to attend Meeting for Worship: “Plain” worship in the side room in the Meeting House, or at the blended Meeting held in the Meeting House, or on the Peace Chapel. All begin at 10:00 am. First Day School: First Day School focuses on loving others and learning about our community and earth, encompassing the Quaker testimonies of “SPICES,” i.e., Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship. Join us each Sunday in June. June 28 at 11:30 am: Potluck to Learn from a Transgender Quaker Kody from Albuquerque Friends Meeting recently eloquently interlaced the Trans experience with Quaker values at a webinar sponsored by Pendle Hill. At a time when our society is becoming increasingly unfriendly to LGTBQ individuals, it seems prudent to educate ourselves further and consider what we can do to make our Meeting supportive and friendly for all genders. We will hold a potluck to watch the recorded session and have a discussion concerning what we learned and whether we feel there are actions we wish to take as a Meeting. All are welcome and the event will be available online, as well: Zoom link https://zoom.us/j/97823991964?pwd=UkZJRFhPcDR3eTBFRitnNEhmb2ZzUT09.; Or 978-2399-1964, Passcode 616380 July 7: Letting Go; Steps in the Spiritual Life, by Kavanagh The Woodbrooke Center is hosting an online discussion with Jennifer Kavanagh and Ben Pink Dandelion on July 7 at 12:00 -1:00 pm (MDT). Woodbrooke discussions tend to fill up fast. Those who are interested can register for this pay-as-led event HERE and can learn more about the Woodbrooke Center in the UK HERE.
