Greetings, Friends:

“For all concerned, the discipline of listening can be a healing ministry. . . .
In its receptiveness, the spirit we seek is not unlike that of a meeting for worship.
The core of this receptiveness is mutual trust resting upon spiritual faith
which, in its fullest sense, is love.”
Dialogue pamphlet, Claremont Friends Meeting

Howdy, Friends:

Here are the queries for our final week of the current set:  We will start by finishing the final query from last week.

—  How has divorce been a feature in your life, personally or more broadly?  Who has suffered or benefitted?  How have relationships and connections been affected?

—  Have you had an experience when failure, or what others might view as failure, resulted in a surprising result?  How did this affect you?

— Has a miracle or something miraculous ever happened to you?

Depending on the time, if possible we will take a few minutes at the end to discuss the eight-week series: what worked most or least effectively for us and what differences we would like to have seen.

Here are this week’s queries (slightly delayed):

—  Can you recall an experience which resulted in a sense of growth in yourself?

—  How was success portrayed or displayed when you were young?  How was failure treated?  How do you view success and failure now?

—  How has divorce been a feature in your life, personally or more broadly?  Who has suffered or benefitted?  How have relationships and connections been affected?
